Upon arrival LuangPrabang airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please walk to the main exit gate, you will be met your guide with your name signboard and we transfer to the hotel.

Wake up before dawn, you will be excited in participation in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks (accepting a bowl of foods or Takbat in Lao) indicating peacefull and influence of Buddhist religious. Visit morning market and return to Hotel for breakfast.

HALF DAY TOUR ‘TEMPLES OF LUANG PRABANG’

Meet with your guide at the hotel and start with a relaxing walk around the ancient town of LuangPrabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city and outstanding example of the fusion of Lao traditional architecture and its urban structure built by the European colonial authorities in the 19 century. Pay a visit to the Royal Palace, which is now a National Museum and houses the precious exhibits that used to be possessions of the former Lao Royal family. Drive or enjoy a leisurely walk to the magnificent stupa of WatVisoun and pass by WatAham along the way. Continue to Wat That Luang, monastery of the big stupas, and Wat Mai, LuangPrabang´s oldest Pagoda. Continue to one of the most beautiful sights in town; WatXiengthong. The so-called ´Temple of the Golden City‘ is located on the northern tip of the peninsula and remains a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art. End your tour with a short climb to the top of Mount Phousi and admire the wonderful view across the Mekong and Khan rivers as well as the surrounding mountain ranges.

Day3   Half day, Pak Ou caves by Local boat ABF/…/…

After breakfast, embark on a 2-hour cruise in a long-tail boat on the Mekong River and visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. En route, typical Laotian villages are barely visible behind thick foliage. Wooden canoes bobbing by the shore attached to bamboo poles can be seen everywhere while floats mark the location of nets and fish traps. Arrive at Pak Ou and explore the sanctuaries which consist of two large caves. Both repositories house thousands of Buddha images, which range from mere centimetres to two meters in height. Cruise back to town and observe the picturesque limestone formations and the friendly local children playing in the river. Stop at Ban MuangKeo village and observe local weavers and whisky distillershonouring their timeworn traditional crafts before returning to LuangPrabang by car or by the same cruise.

After breakfast, Depart for a 1-hour drive south to one of LuangPrabang´s most picturesque sights, the Kuang Si waterfall. Once at the waterfalls, take a leisurely hike through the national park towards the Kuang Si waterfalls and pass by the Free the Bears Rescue Centre which now cares for 23 bears near the falls.For the more adventurous, continue to the top of the main waterfall. Return to town, stop by to visitOck Pop Tok Living Crafts Centrewhich is a well-documented gallery where weaving and dyeing techniques of silk are showcased to curious visitors. Learn more about silkworms and receive a brief introduction to the different natural dying methods.

Kuang Si waterfalls can get crowded on the weekends so it is advised to visit during weekdays, if time permits.
It is recommended to wear proper walking attire if trekking to the top of the waterfall.

Day5   Full day, LuangPrabang – VangVieng ABF/L/…

After breakfast, Leave LuangPrabang town and drive South on very steep, winding roads. Stop for photo opportunities to document the stunning scenery and take a break in Ban PhouKhoun village for a snack or refreshing beverage. After PhouKhoun, roads go down and get flat until you arrive in VangVieng in the early afternoon.

Duration: 5 hours
Drive on the roads up mountain and some part can be quite bumpy, road construction or heavy rain fall can cause slights delays along the way.

Day6   Full day, VangVieng Discover (JOIN-IN TOUR) ABF/L/…

This day tour takes you to several sites in the surroundings of VangVieng and introduces the novice to the thrill of cave explorations. You will have plenty of opportunities to gain insight into the way of life of Lao people, before ending the trip kayaking on the Nam Song River. We depart from your hotel in VangVieng and after an approximately 14 km transfer to the north of VangVieng, we visit the first cave, ThamXang (elephant cave), which lies on the opposite banks of the Nam Song. It is an important Buddhist temple and owes its name to a remarkable limestone formation. The nearby Tham Hoi cave (snail cave) winds its way deep into the mountain and you will have 45 minutes of exploration through numerous long corridors with wonderful limestone formations. Another cool pool of spring water lies at the mouth of Tham Nam (water cave), also a good place for a swim. After a picnic lunch, the trek to the Hmong village of Phathao passes through rice paddy fields and vegetable gardens. Descending the Nam Song by kayak leads us through idyllic scenes of rural life: a unique sight with limestone mountains in the background.

Breakfast at hotel, drive South on flat terrain, through local villages and past beautiful scenery until you arrive in Vientiane, the capital and largest city of Laos.

Roads can be quite bumpy at times and transfer times are approximate but road construction or heavy rain fall can cause slights delays along the way.

Breakfast at the hotel, Meet with your guide at the hotel and enjoy a visit to all essential landmarks the small and charismatic city of Vientiane has to offer. A world apart from other frantic Asian capitals, Vientiane still remains a quiet and pleasant town. Start at WatSisaket, which is the only temple left intact after the Siamese invasion of 1828. See thousands of Buddha statues lined up before visiting WatPhraKeo, which is a religious museum that displays a collection of art representing Lao and Khmer artefacts. Continue with a visit to the most popular Wat in town, Wat Si Muang, before visiting the Patouxay monument, Laos' version of the Arc de Triomphe. End the day at That Luang, a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of Vientiane. Since its initial establishment, suggested to be in the 3rd century, the stupa has undergone several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign invasions of the area. It is generally regarded as the most important national monument in Laos and a national symbol.
