We’ll start on early morning from Pakse for a Mini Van ride down south to the temple Hat Sai Khon situated near the Mekong on the top of a hill to have a look at the islands spreading on a large Mekong River before getting in. We’ll cross the Mekong with the ferry to join and visit Don Kong Island and it villages, palm tree sugar traditional factory, commercial harbour.

From where you’ll have a view of the island and it surrounding before boarding on the canoe or on the engine boat. Flow dawn in a myriad of islands inhabited by a large panel of birds, see some small village or habitation on some of them, and finally join Don Det.

We’ll wakeup early morning to have the maximum chance to see the dolphins, have a small cruise to Don Khon, walk a bit to join the boat or canoe and star flowing on the Mekong River to meet the dolphins.

Once we’re done with them we’ll kip flowing down to the junction of the khon Phapheng Mekong arm and cruise up stream to the waterfall. At khon Phapheng the mini van will pick us up back to Pakse.
