Day1   Full day, Pakse – Watphou – Elephant Riding – Done Khong Island (…/L/…)

On arrival Pakse, we drive surrounding the town and cross to right side of Mekhong River in Pakse by Mekhong bridge then short driving about 50 minutes to visit the charming pre-angkorian ruin temple of Watphou bypass Champasak District. Watphou is the second world heritage site of Laos 2002. It was located at the base of Phoukao mountain is far from Champasak District "the ancient City from 6 century " on the west about 10Km and far from Pakse about 40Km it will be about 50minutes by car. Watphou was built from 6-12century AD, Pre-Ankorian and Ankorian period. It was the Hindu religion temple. Later it was converted to Theravada Buddhist use. A festival is held on the site on the full moon period of February in the year round. In the afternoon, We cross the Mekhong river to left side in Champasak by ferry or return to Pakse and continue to the south by road number 13 to Ban KietNgong where you will enjoy with the elephant riding up the hill Asa 90 minutes, which its view overlooks the rich biodiversity of Xe Pian Protected Area. In 1815 Khiet Ngong village and Phou Asa was the village for training the warfare such as sword fighting, horse riding, elephant riding and train some of martial arts skills when the people in the village were being exploited and treated cruelly by landlords. After you will transferred to Hotel in this village or Khong Island

Overnight in Done Khong Island

Day2   4000 Islands explore by Boat (B/L/…)

We drive on road number 13 to South and take an excursion by boat from Khong Island, explore the 4000 islands by boat cruising down along the Mekhong river channel to Done Khone a boat about 1:40´. For this an excursion, you will see the way of life of local people on the islands bypass the small and big islands. The Mekhong was flowing through Laos 1800km, a part of Mekhong river on southern Laos was separated by many islands and different level became to six big Channels from left side to right side of Mekhong and wide about 14Km. Arrival Done Khone where you will explore the historical site as French's colonial buildings, Train bridge, railway and Locomotive by three wheel motorbike or Tuktuk or walk. Following, after the inspection team of French soldiers about Mekhong river had been done from years 1866-1868. Finally the Vessel(Gun boat) reached the Hou channel at Ban Khone and launched on 1 November 1893. After 4 years they were constructed railway 3km long and 1 meters wide, from Ban Hangkhone to Ban Khone in years 1897-1900. They used for 10 years later, and because of the passengers increasing the boat pier was improved, the Train bridge 158m long over Hou channel linking Done Khone and end of Done Ded together was built in year 1910 for railway more 2km to the new pier at middle of Done Ded so total railway 5km. We will visit the Somphamith or Liphi fall one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking at the end of Laos to Cambodia. We continue discovering the 4000 islands area to the end of Done Khone where you will see the Dolphins, you will get on the boat to the Dolphins living between Laos – Cambodia border, if you are lucky you may even see the rare Irrawaddy Mekong dolphins. You get off the boat at Don Sadam where your car waiting then drive back by Road number 13, on the way we stop visiting the Khone Phapeng fall, the bigest waterfall in South East Asia on the left side bank of Mekhong, known as Niagara of Asia. We return to Khong Island.

Overnight in Done Khong Island

Day3   Khong Island - Bolaven (B/L/…)

In this morning, you leave Done Khong Island, we return to Pakse and continue our journey through Boloven plateau. The Boloven Plateau is high land its elevation above the sea level over 1300 meters with its ample rainfall, cool temperature, and rich volcanic soil. It is perfect conditions for growing agricultural crops, as world-class coffee, all kinds of fruits and vegetables, but the coffee is main product, as Arabica and Robusta Coffee. It is a source of many minorities groups. A trip gives visitors a chance exploring the wild beauty of this southern region we visit one of the most beautiful Waterfall as Tade Fane and the villages of Alak, Nge, and Katu minorities groups before arrival Tad Lo.

Overnight in Bolaven at Tad Lo Logde or in Pakse

Day4   Bolaven - Transfer to Pakse Airport (B/…/…)

After breakfast, we return to Pakse and transfer to airport.
