Upon arrival Vientiane airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please walk to the main exit gate, you will be met your guide with your name signboard and we transfer to the hotel.

Day2   Half day, Vientiane City tour ABF/Lunch/…

After breakfast, Enjoy a visit to all essential landmarks the small and charismatic city of Vientiane has to offer. A world apart from other frantic Asian capitals, Vientiane still remains a quiet and pleasant town. Start at WatSisaket, which is the only temple left intact after the Siamese invasion of 1828. See thousands of Buddha statues lined up before visiting WatPhraKeo, which is a religious museum that displays a collection of art representing Lao and Khmer artefacts. Continue with a visit to the most popular Wat in town, Wat Si Muang, before visiting the Patouxay monument, Laos' version of the Arc de Triomphe. End the day at That Luang, a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of Vientiane. Since its initial establishment, suggested to be in the 3rd century, the stupa has undergone several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign invasions of the area. It is generally regarded as the most important national monument in Laos and a national symbol.

Day3   Full day, Ventiane - VangVieng ABF/…/…

After breakfast, today drive North on flat terrain, through local villages and past beautiful scenery until you arrive in VangVieng. The town lies on the Nam Song River and its most notable feature is the karst hill landscape surrounding it.

Vangvieng district is small but very beautiful, surrounding by limestone mount and Name Xong river it is suitable relaxing and free time at leisure.

Day4   Full day, VangVieng - Phonsavan ABF/L/…

After breakfast, Leave VangVieng town and drive on flat roads until you reach the mountainous area of Northern Laos at PhouKhoun village, where you take a break. Continue on very steep, winding roads and stop for photo opportunities along the way. Drive through local villages and witness the way locals´s life in the countryside and outside the bigger towns. Arrive in Phonsavan (also known as XiengKhuoang) in the early afternoon.

Drive on the roads up mountain and some part can be quite bumpy, road construction or heavy rain fall can cause slights delays along the way.

Day5   Full day, Phonsavan (Plain of Jars) ABF/L/…

After breakfast, Drive around 10km to the first site of the Plain of Jars, an archaeological spectacle where giant stone Jars are scattered around the landscape. The jars are believed to be 1,500 to 2,000 years old and the history of the Jars, which range in height from one to two-and-a-half meters - remains a mystery to this day, although they are thought to have been used as funeral urns. Continue with a visit to site two and three, of which site three has the most dramatic location.
End the trip with a visit to the Mine Advisory Group (MAG) at their camp where you will learn more about MAG's current projects to protect the local community from the destruction caused by unexploded ordnance (UXO), which still plagues the country. Return to your hotel and remain of the day is free at leisure.

Day6   Full day, Phonsavan - Meuang Khoun ABF/L/…

After breakfast, the original capital city of XiengKhouang, MuangKhoun, was almost totally obliterated by US bombing and consequently the capital was moved to nearby Phonsavanh. Of several MuangKhun Buddhist temples built between the 16th and 19th century only ruins remain. Vat Phia, however, survived the bombing and can be visited. The remains include the That Phuan (stupa) constructed in the Lanna style and a few Buddha statues.

There are about 14,000 people living in the town of MuangKhoun today. Most of them are native Phuan people with a mixture of Tai Dam, Tai Neua, Lao and Vietnamese. The grand colonial buildings are unfortunately gone. In their place are wooden rows of shop houses with metal roofs lining both sides of the unpaved main road. The fine Buddhist temples have fallen into ruins - all that remains of them are the foundation, columns and a big Buddha in the seated position at Wat Si Phum located to the east of the town.

Day7   Full day, Phonsavan - LuangPrabang ABF/L/…

Breakfast at hotel, Visit the local market of Phonsavanh and then drive north to Luang Prabang. Enjoy the view and scenes of local life along the way before we break for the lunch at a local restaurant.
Upon arrival, rest of the day at leisure and in the evening you may want to discover the hustle and bustle of the night market, or doing a short climb to the top of Mount Phousi to admire the wonderful view across the Mekong and Khan rivers as well as the surrounding mountain ranges.

Day8   Half day, LuangPrabang - City Tour ABF/…/…

Breakfast at the hotel, Meet with your guide at the hotel and start with a relaxing walk around the ancient town of LuangPrabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city and outstanding example of the fusion of Lao traditional architecture and its urban structure built by the European colonial authorities in the 19 century. Pay a visit to the Royal Palace, which is now a National Museum and houses the precious exhibits that used to be possessions of the former Lao Royal family. Drive or enjoy a leisurely walk to the magnificent stupa of WatVisoun and pass by WatAham along the way. Continue to Wat That Luang, monastery of the big stupas, and Wat Mai, LuangPrabang´s oldest Pagoda. Continue to one of the most beautiful sights in town; WatXiengthong. The so-called ´Temple of the Golden City′ is located on the northern tip of the peninsula and remains a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art. End your tour with a short climb to the top of Mount Phousi and admire the wonderful view across the Mekong and Khan rivers as well as the surrounding mountain ranges.

Overnight in Luangprabang

Day9   Full day, LuangPrabang - Kamu Lodge ABF/L/D

Breakfast at Hotel, transfer to Kamu Lodge pier. Board on a traditional Long River boat at 09:00 and take a leisurely cruise upstream while enjoying the refreshments served on the boat. Marvel at the thousands of gold Buddha statues placed in sacred Pak Ou caves by devotees. Continue upriver and you would reach Kamu Lodge eco hotel in Luang Prabang around noon. A refreshing welcome drink is served. Alternatively, you can choose to either relax or to enjoy the traditional Kamu lifestyles and activities such as rice planting and harvesting in surrounding rice fields, gold panning in the Mekong (anything you find is Yours!), traditional fishing techniques (you can sample your catch for dinner!), visit of the Kamu village, archery contest.

Dinner at our eco hotel in Kamu Lodge is a feast by Kamu tribe standards. We want you to see the world from the Kamu´s eyes.

Day10   Full day, Kamu Lodge - LuangPrabang ABF/…/

Early morning, you can plough, harvest or mill rice with the villagers. Check-out at 10:30 and spend a leisurely morning enjoying a good book or simply marveling at the surrounding scenery and local lifestyle. After lunch, the boat will depart around 14:30 and you will arrive back in Luang Prabang town around 16:30.
